Great pic! I also have really enjoyed Pumphouse' IPA when I've had it at Maxwell's.

Happy Birthday friend!! :rockin:
Thanks! Yeah it's definitely Nash-like.

Glad you got to use it, Hogie! I didn't think to offer it to you, so good call on that. I assuming you didn't pay the fee, right? I'll do that next time I'm in (or else just take my mug, I'm drinking at Marky's and the Tide and Boar these days).
Yeah the mugs are quite classy. You actually did offer it to me one time last year when I was contemplating a visit to Moncton. Otherwise, I wouldn't have used it without asking. :cheers2:

Had a Shipyard Monkey Fist.

Bitter as fuck but no balance or popping flavor.

Currently Propeller Black IPA, tonight Propeller IIPA, Garrison Kick Ass IPA and Imperial Pale Ale.
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

^ LD, what are your thoughts on the Kick Ass IPA? It's not available here, but would love to try it.

Having one now.The body is a cross between the hopyard and the IIPA, you can tell the comet hops are in it if you've had them before. Those with the cascade give an oily mouthfeel with moderate aroma, nothing that will blow your nose off. It defiantly unfiltered because it looks like a hop storm in my glass. I enjoy it but I generally enjoy most Garrison product.

I have not refined my tasting or got into the BJCP judging but I found the KA IPA had a fair amount of what I thought was diacetlyl. Has anyone else picked up any of that?

That's a good recipe. I've been modding it with acidulated malt.

Went on a solo hike out along Long Lake. Had one of my DIPAs near the start and my imperial stout around the end. It was a beautiful day out there.

A pint of my IPA. Running on about 2 hours sleep so I may be in the floor by the time I get to the bottom of the glass. :spilly:

Drinking a Nogne Mochacinno Messiah Brown Ale. Lots of hop presence mixed with coffee notes.

Just got a nice package in the mail from a buddy in Vancouver. I'll likely be tucking into a few of these over the weekend.
