Re: What's everyone drinking?
Got a can of heady topper from a coworker today. Those who have had it, did you take the advice on the can and drink it from the can or pour it in a glass?

I drank from a glass and it was amazing. I wouldnt change your preference unless you also enjoy drinking from the can. Personally i hate drinking out of cans.

It can certainly be an ugly beer to look at, which is the origin of that advice. The taste/aroma more than makes up for it though

Must have had a can that was sitting around for awhile. I could imagine what it was like fresh but it was a disappointment for me.

I can't find one and according to Google they don't print dates on the can.

I haven't decided what to drink tonight. Any suggestions? Was thinking about hitting up good robot's taproom with a friend from my university days.

The Good Robot/Unfiltered tap room crawl is a good combo. Could even start with a burger and brew at Gus'/Ace Burger.MitchK wrote:I haven't decided what to drink tonight. Any suggestions? Was thinking about hitting up good robot's taproom with a friend from my university days.

Cracked into a two year old bottle of home brewed Imperial Stout. Light oxidation flavours but it has held up well. A tasty treat on a Friday night.

Awesome name!
It's a Spindrift weekend for me. I'm drinking the Shwartzbier and now onto some Coastal Lager. Great stuff.

Same thought as Keith - Double Brew Day done, relax with the end of my Altbier, and catch a bit of football.

"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.
