Last of the evil twin beer. I have been pretty happy with all of these they pack a punch at 13%, 12% and 10.3 % but still have decent flavor

knocked back the snow banks some. Came in and just finished Mark's "More" IPA. Very tasty beer, could drink a few, but IMO Three still steals the show.

I'm having a "Deutschnozzle" Bavarian Pale Ale. I used Melanoiden, Weyermann Pale Malt and Munich with Magnum and Mandarina Bavaria. Tastes like a Maibock.

Re: What's everyone drinking tonight?
That's good to know Keith. Thanks for the feedback. I'll try you again when I make the lemony Swiggit. I did make a second batch of "Three" but didn't turn out as good. I went through a lazy phase (my lazy streak kicking in) of sticking to dry yeast and used 05 instead of conan. Now I'm only using liquid yeasts with starters again, and it that's mostly because of the "three" episode.Keith wrote:knocked back the snow banks some. Came in and just finished Mark's "More" IPA. Trying out Garrisons imperial chocolate Stout. A very big beer and very hot at 10%. This beer is right up my alley.

Is the banana something that would fade with time? I just poured a glass of this tonight and it seems to have dropped off (or I could just be fucked from drinking IPAJimmy wrote:Turned out decent. I'd prob try a different yeast the next go round, something with a bit more spice to it. I used 1214 and fermented at 62*. There's a slight spiciness, but more banana than I'd like.. Apparently that yeast produces more banana than some of the others. It was 3 weeks old when I kegged and is about a month old now.

Nothing til I brew. Freeing the keg to get ready for the Brewnosers comp. I'll have 11 empty kegs to fill in April for this. But just put a rye altbier and IPA on tap tonight. Ready tomorrow.

11 kegs!
wow
I've got to get brewing soon. Kegs are just about empty. Just about out of my ESB and my Chocolate Oatmeal Stout. I want to be able to put more than 2 kegs on tap at a time but I think I should build a ferm chamber first.

Tried another sample of my Tripel today. I definitely think that it has lost some of the banana I was initially getting from it. It has also cleared up nicely!

I'm having a Chimay blue. I'm just getting into it but I'm loving the Trappist quads / dark strong.

Doing an IPA this week, and either a Berliner Weisse or Dark Strong after that.
