The way this day is going I might have to get into a Rochefort 8 to turn it around. Sadly it will be the last of my 4 from the gift pack, what a nice beer and the glass is really nice too.

I was hoping to get one of those sets and the Westmalle one from Premier, but I see they're both sold out.

Had a Portsmouth smoked dunkel, very interesting beer.

"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

Trying my Rye IPA. Dry hopped with Amarillo for a week. Everything is great except it's too thick. Haven't measured the FG yet, need to buy a new hydrometer.

Enjoying a flat pint of my Stone Ruination clone leftover from bottling this week. Tastes great! Can't wait till it's carbonated.

Just drank the real thing. My last bottle from the Stone order. Probably a bit past its prime, but still delicious.jeffsmith wrote:Enjoying a flat pint of my Stone Ruination clone leftover from bottling this week. Tastes great! Can't wait till it's carbonated.
Now I'm drinking a Propeller IPA

We were lucky enough to experience a Pliny The Younger offering in Pasadena this afternoon. I was quite pleased with how well balanced it was for a 10.5% IIIPA! Very smooth but the bitterness built up nicely as you progressed through the goblet.

Awesome on the Pliny.
Those Stone Epic series recipes are on their website somewhere. I brewed the 9-9-9.
