After tasting a couple of samples of my RIS my palette can't do a very good job on the sample of Munich Dunkel.

Going to pop a top off a can of Muskoka Cream Ale for a first go, then a can of Mad Tom and going to finish with my Pale Ale to watch the game with.

Rogue XS Imperial Younger's Special Bitter Ale.
Great beer but kind of a tease only having a 7 ounce bottle.

Re: What's everyone drinking tonight?
I was in Toronto today and had a couple of beers at Wvrst first, a Bellwoods French Ale and a King Vienna, then went to the new pub down King street called Bar Hop, which has over 30 craft and import beers on tap (incl Rodenbach and several other cool Belgian brews). I had Cask Wellington Arkell and some Durham ESB, which I hadn't had in ages. Both these bars have tons of IPAs and other strong, hoppy or Belgian brews. Not many session beers, but lots of rad stuff to sample.

Thanks for the report, I'll be in TO for a week later this month. Also heard good things about Indie Alehouse, have you been?

No but they had at least 1 of their beers on tap at Bar Hop. I was told they specialize in strong and hoppy!chalmers wrote:Thanks for the report, I'll be in TO for a week later this month. Also heard good things about Indie Alehouse, have you been?

Re: What's everyone drinking tonight?
Visiting the folks in Sydney River this weekend. Grabbed a growler of Big Spruce at the Sydney Farmer's market. They had already sold out of the stout they brought so seeing how the pale ale is now. Jeremy mentioned they are expanding already to get another fermenter and hoping to have a red ale out soon with a bit of a bit of hop kick.

Had one at Barhop. Very good. Not afeared of hops. Not easy to get to by transit. Good rep among local beer geeks.chalmers wrote:Thanks for the report, I'll be in TO for a week later this month. Also heard good things about Indie Alehouse, have you been?

Was brewing up the Smash Bomb IPA clone when Frank dropped in with a Smash Bomb and a Garrison Ass Kicker that Chalmers brought down to him a while back ( thanks Chris ). I'll drink the Smash Bomb watching the leafs game tonight.
Sister brought back a Bucanero from Cuba I might try tonight also.

Would like to be at the Brewnosers meeting, but I'll settle for after work beers. Right now enjoying a big Imperial IPA from Brooklyn Brewery, Brooklyn Blast.
Cheers fellas.

Was over to Halifax yesterday and picked up Rogue Dead Guy Ale, was pretty good maybe a tad sweet but my next recipe is based on a clone. Flyin Monkeys Atomic Smash Bomb was also good, still 3 left for tonight, lotsa hops in this baby and also delivers a kick.
Drinking: Red Hook clone
Waiting on: Fruit beer

Just had a Keith's hallertauer. Not that bad.
More malty the the regular and more definable hops. Could use more hops though.
