Keezer not Cooling

Post by GDoucet » Mon Mar 17, 2014 10:05 pm

Looks like my keezer just crapped out. It won’t cool at all. Right before it stopped working, there was a large ice build up in one small spot (maybe 2”x8”x1” block of ice) and when I plug it in again, there’s a weird gurgle noise every couple seconds coming from around that spot. Anyone have any idea of what’s going on and it is worth fixing?

Does the compressor run?

If the compressor is running, chances are you have a coolant leak / low on coolant. Some you can recharge, some you can't or it's just not worth the trouble fixing. For example I had a beast of a freezer with corroded copper line and I had to get a new one.

It sounds like the compressor is running. It's not as loud as it was before but definitely running. Any suggestions on who to call to recharge or check it out?

Unless you have a close attachment to it I believe it is cheeper to get a new one.
