That sounds very good! Which country? Big news about home brewing becoming legal. Thinks should really take off now. :rockin:

That malt should make you quite a lot of good beer. The easiest way to do it would be brew in a bag. Which is basically steeping the crushed grain, in a fine mesh bag at around 153 F, in the full volume of water that's required to make your desired final volume of beer, for about 1 hour, then pull out the bag, let it drain and then boil for 60 - 90 minutes. Don't put sugar in it, unless you are going for a really high alcohol beer.

To save you doing too many calculations ...

1) Heat 16.6 Gallons (US Gallons) of Water to 160 F
2) Add 25lbs of crushed barley malt, stirring to break up the dough balls.

That will use half your bag of malt and will produce 11 gallons of 5% alcohol beer.

Good Luck!

This is an intelligent spam bot or spammer that's trying to play by the rules. I've suspected as much for a while.

No Prob. Rob! :) I just taught that bot how to make beer with his sack of 6-row. He'll get drunk on it in no time and start putting his digits in the wrong place. (can happen to the best of us)
