Thanks all. Chalmers, very generous. Calendar looks open as of yet but construction is beginning and things are crazy. We'll let you know closer to date.

Welcome and thanks for the invite, or should I say thanks for the welcome, and invite you to the Brewnosers. Something any way. Nice post.

If you make good beer, I don't care what the label looks like...
I'm another Ottawa Valley transplant (Almonte). I still make semi-annual duty-trips to visit the parents, but moving back to ON or farther west is unfathomable. That same friendliness you get growing up in the Ottawa Valley is alive and well in the maritimes. Tell Doug he'll feel quite at home before too long.Josh wrote:... while Doug and I are from south of Ottawa. Gus worked in Alberta after struggling with student loans here. I moved from Seattle to Calgary to be closer to Angus so we could finish the business plan. Doug left his family and friends of Perth to move out here. He has never left home and is very close with his family, which might give you an idea of how much he wanted to live and work here ...

Thanks for the welcomes. Andy, Doug said he already feels like he's home. At the risk of sounding hokey, so do I. Todd, good to see ya on here, hombre.
We're equal parts excited and terrified for all of you to try our beer. If we can't make it to the meeting, maybe someone from your group can drop by next week to grab a growler or two.

Maybe we do need to rethink our logo.

hmm, I might have heard of this 'local brewing legend' & if it is who I think it might be, that stamp of approval is all you'll need to succeed. Beer-wise anyway, but hopefully that is enough to overcome financial trials......local brewing legend tasted our stout and remarked that it was, “Fucking delicious.”

Appreciate the kind words, gents. Writing is second only to beer in my list of passions. Made my day.
Part of the reason I left engineering was that I didn't like putting on a face for clients. Beer drinkers are typically candid - sometimes, painfully so (my grandpa described our stout as, "the worst coffee I've ever tasted") - but I'd rather have pain in truth than happiness in lies.
Now that the website is nearly refurbished, expect new content soon. I'll try to keep up on the forum, as well.
