Small beer bottles

Post by Tim Gregory » Wed Jun 01, 2011 8:56 pm

Does anyone know where you could buy a bunch of small beer bottles? Looking for something around 200-250ml. I'm bottling a barleywine soon and I was hoping to put it into smaller bottles, similar to the Thomas Hardy bottles. I don't think NG carries anything that small.

Oh come on, man up! I've got some gallon growlers you can have!

Ok, not really, but I do have a whole whack (wack?) of 330mL bottles you can have in return for a few of them full.

Ps, how's the Houblon Chouffe clone doing?

They're 330ml - I just finished filling some with my Old Ale for the same reason as Tim.

oh...for some reason i thought they were smaller. Same size as sam adams and alot of other bottles then. I know the small coronita bottles are 207ml or something like that....not sure if they still sell them though....and they're clear :(

If I can't find anything smaller (which I don't think I can) I might take you up on that offer Chalmers. I only have about 10 litres so I was being cheap and hoping to stretch it a little further but meh. I can always make more.

The Belgian IPA is coming along. It's all kegged up and I've been sampling. Just doesn't taste quite ready yet. It's good, just a little boozy tasting, which is expected since it's 10%. So I hope it needs a little more time.

I saw four 190 ml Sol bottles at Value Village in Dartmouth yesterday. They're a bit expensive ($1.49) but nice looking and worth keeping if you're going to do this a few times in the future.

I also got a nice haul of beer glasses there yesterday. Sorry.

I just ended up using regular beer bottles, thanks anyway. What glasses did you find Kyle? I haven't found much lately.

The Keith's glasses are for tricking bad-beer-drinking-friends into trying good beer.

James is a bit of a spammer...I can live with his post, but I think the account should be disabled.
At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter. :wtf:
