Looking for a keggle

Post by thri11murray » Tue Apr 02, 2013 10:04 am

Hello,

My brewing circumstances recently changed, and I am looking to switch to a keggle for larger boils. Ball valve and dip tube would be nice. I have a stainless kettle with weldless ball valve, thermowell and thermometer I could offer for trade. It also comes with a copper chiller that fits the kettle. I'm not sure what the volume is, but it is suitable for 5 gallon batches.

I have a 15 gallon Ontario Beer Kegs kettle. I think many others on this forum will agree with me that you're better going this route than a keggle (unless you can get a keg for free). http://www.ontariobeerkegs.com/15_Gallo ... -2weld.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Or an Everwood Ave Brew Shop kettle! :cheers:

I had 3 keggles I managed to get for free, I had multiple couplings added in, and I still sold them and switched to an OBK pot. Keggles are nice, they're just heavier than I feel like lugging around.

Given the choice, I would go for the OBK pot. In a year or so, I may swap my keggle for a pot.

I also know of a place that will have these pots in a month or so (Should be early to mid-may). No shipping either! (edit - if you can meet-up or pick-up)

Just saying :think: :lol:
