Will do Jeff. The only difference that I had to make was the crystal malt. I don't have any C-15 so I had to use C-30.jeffsmith wrote:Nice! Re: What's everyone making this weekend?
Not this weekend but mid-next week I think I'm gonna do a saison or something that I wont have to babysit in an icebath. Probably steal a recipe from the forums.
Starting to plan something big (probably barley wine) to brew the week after and condition until late fall.

Going to be on holidays next week (finally, after a year and a half) and I'm planning on doing a re-brew of my Nelson Sauvin Rye Saison since it went so fast, and will probably do the Stone Ruination clone again.

Planning on brewing up a Pale Ale and possibly a Kolsch
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

I finished putting together my picnic cooler mash tun today, so I'm making a sort of blonde ale.

Re: What's everyone making this weekend?
I had my first error this weekend >.<
Made an ESB gone probably more english mild after my probe shorted while heating strike water.
Ended up getting bullshit efficiency but managed to save the beer. OG was 1.040 instead of 1.056. Probably partially due to both mashing at who knows what temperature and slightly undercalculating boil-off on the new kettle.
It's fermenting away happily, so I'm not too worried. Not so bad to have a keg of something chuggable on tap anyway.

Did the mash/mash-out of my first Saison this morning. Going to complete the boil and such tonight, when I'm done work.

Brewed a chocolate milk stout last night. Decided to use cocoa powder at burnout instead of nibs or bakers chocolate.
