Dropped down last evening with a couple of friends for bluegrass, beers and a bite. The potato skins were very good. Desecration may be my favourite beer brewed there so far. Yum!

For those not on the NASH mailing list: tomorrow's firkin is the Brown dry-hopped with Cascade. Attempt #2.

Unless I'm missing something there's no Nash beer at H&T right now due to the chiller breaking. Though RB doesn't have a patio...brufrog wrote:I'm in Hali tomorrow. Can't decide whether to go to RB or H&T...for my pre-wine tasting beer
Brewing right now: whatever is going on tap at Stillwell in a few weeks.

I think Nash has a cold water bath going at the H&T right now meaning there is one beer on tap. You may want to confirm that with him though - could have been a busy weekend there.

Nor on Sunday. But I did see the big man there that night, and things were in the works.
Best way to confirm would be to call down there: 407-4278

How's the mini chillers working out?

The mini-chiller works pretty good! Problem is there's only one. It doesn't work quite as well as the real deal but anyways.... I got the call yesterday that it kept throwing the breaker and now the beer was beginning to warm againmr x wrote:How's the mini chillers working out?
Tonight I went down, cleaned a bright tank and transferred the IPA into it, it was at 43 F. I disconnected the chiller from the unitank and connected it to the bright tank for serving. After carbonating, smelling and tasting I decided it'll be good to go tomorrow. So yeah, on tap tomorrow

Re: Official Rockbottom Brewpub Thread
why are there 7 Rock Bottom breweries listed in the Halifax area? Search at weblocal.ca
I guess DME had big plans to supply all these? BTW they are still supplying kegs of wort to the Pilot House in C-Town.

They all say Rock Bottom Brewery. Weird. I think you are going to have to start brewing 14 X a week, Greg!NASH wrote:I don't know but I assume they have nothing to do with Rockbottom Brewpubbrufrog wrote:why are there 7 Rock Bottom breweries listed in the Halifax area? Search at weblocal.ca

As for Pilot House, really? The owner of DME told me last week that they do. He wouldn't lie. Hmm...maybe they do it under license at the PEI brewing company's bigger brewery? So it is "officially" coming from them but actually brewed at PEIBC? I know DME has a small "pilot" brewery onsite.
