1st timer - Moncton Area
Hey Guys,
Started off with a festa brew last weekend and will probably stick with those for a little while to get a handle on the basics and probably move to the brewers best kits later on as the next step. I already have a keg and tap setup in the basement and have been filling them up at the pumphouse for the past while, but the problem is I have to go back every couple weeks to have it filled. Still cheaper than paying the bottle prices at NB Liquor!
Anyway - I also enjoy buying 2 or 3 craft beer every weekend to try something new and mostly enjoy darker beers, but I enjoy a hoppy beer as well. Time to make my own!!
Cheers!
Trevor

Re: 1st timer - Moncton Area

"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter.

Welcome. Check out Tapatalk - it will solve your mobile problem.nbsenorita wrote:hello there! My name is Amber, I live in Moncton and just joined. I started the Moncton area Beer League this year and frequent several beer festivals. We are most active on Facebook, but if I can get some help I'd like to arrange some monthly events in my area. My mobile screen is too small for this site, so I'll do some exploring when I'm back on my PC.
