Good flux in New Glasgow

Post by jtmwhyte » Mon May 19, 2014 9:18 pm

Need to try silver soldering my tri clamp fitting into the keggle again and have no flux at the house. I have a solder left, but I need more flux I believe.

"Fill with mingled cream and amber,
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chamber of my brain -
Quaintest thoughts - queerist fancies
Come to life and fade away;
What care I how time advances?
I am drinking ale today." ~ Poe

It's crusty stuff. Just mix a bit of water in there and get it to a thick slurry. Smear it around, and it will flow as it heats up.

Good to hear you got something... it was late when I got your text and I think I might need what I have for attaching a ferrule to my keggle if I decide to make it a bottom drain
