Post by HPhunter » Fri Feb 14, 2014 8:13 pm

So big first time tap Virgin the Bad Apple Brewhouse is going to be on tap at Stillwell beer bar starting Sunday Feb16th at noon. It's a Falconers Flight SMaSH IPA. Hope you city folks who haven't had any of my beer yet can slide in for a try!
Also thanks to Nash and the Stillwell crew for coming down to brew have some fun with me!

Stillwell Beer Bar is releasing their first House Beer tomorrow (Sunday, February 16) at noon. The new brew is a collaboration with Nova Scotia’s newest craft brewery, Bad Apple Brewhouse in Somerset, NS. Together, they’ve created That’s Falcon Teamwork, a 6.8 % West Coast-style IPA. The name was inspired by the hop (Falconer’s Flight) and the partnership.

Stillwell decided to create That’s Falcon Teamwork because they wanted a crisp, juicy, aromatic, west-coast style IPA. They couldn’t find anything like it in the local market, so they teamed up with Bad Apple to bring their dream beer to life.

They have ten 30 litre kegs ready to go. They won’t be served all at once, Stillwell will rotate them over the next few months. That’s Falcon Teamwork is currently only a one-off, but that could change based on demand. It won’t be their last house beer, either.

“We are planning more house beers brewed by us and our friends, but also many of the beers we currently carry are de-facto “house beers” in that they aren’t available elsewhere on the east coast.” says co-owner Christopher Reynolds.

The cost has not yet been announced, but Chris says that it will be priced in the same range as many of the beer served at Stillwell, around $6.52 +tax/20oz.

Fantastic Jeff ...looks like you're off and away. I knew this was going to happen when I first tasted your beer. There have been very few beers I can really enjoy so far ...yours, Nash's Fathom and my own.

My stepmother is from Finland so watching Canada vs Finland is a big deal today so I won't make it. If only there was a TV there to catch the game ...
