Infection?
Well I think I may finally have gotten an infection. I'm not sure though as I have never had one (thankfully) before. I made a festa cream ale just to up my stocks. Was left in the primary a tad to long but I have done this before and all was well. This brew never really took off that well and after a week was at 1030. I added another yeast and its been sitting for about 2-3 weeks. Opened er up today to a white film on top and it was down to 1020. I have never seen this film before in 15 years of brewing. Smelled a little off but I'm not a huge fan of festa. I have a pic but my phone is not cooperating. Filled keg anyway but I have a feeling it will be dumped

Don't pour it down the drain yet! Can you describe the white film?

Re: Infection?
How does it taste? If it still tastes decent, get it on tap quickly, keep it cold and drink away! That's what I'd do at least.

Re: Infection?
It almost looks like hardened grease\oil. If you skim the top does it return?

Looks like a pelicle, either follow jeffsmith's advice or age it for a a year or two and you might be surprised. Be careful with any gear (mostly plastic) that becomes in contact with that beer since small micro-scratches can harbour bacteria and or wild yeast.
