New guy from Winnipeg
Hi.
New member from Winnipeg here. I'm originally from Moncton, but have been living out west since 1999.
Anyhow, I've been a homebrewer since about '96 or '97, and went all grain about ten years ago. For the past few years have been getting into mead making. I'm a member of the Winnipeg Brew Bombers homebrew club, we meet once a month from September to June. Good bunch of brewers and beer lovers.

I'm an ex-Winnerpeger myself. Been in Halifax since 1995. Also like to make mead.

I lived out in the Praries in Manitoba (Pilot Mound) for 10 years before moving to NS, so I know Winnipeg well. Lovely City. I'm originally from England.
Any way...Hi!

At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter.

Actually to be precise I'm from Riverview, not Moncton. My parents still live there. So we really did do the opposite.Araxi wrote:Hey there, welcome. I did the opposite. Born and raised in the Peg and moved to Moncton 2.5 yrs ago.

"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

They were living over on Grandhill Drive, by the Whitepine Baptist Church, for 30 years, and that's where I grew up. A couple of years ago they built a retirement home on Monarch Road, by the Parkland Nursing Home. I've only visited their new place once.akr71 wrote:What part of Riverview?
