Good brisket resource
I thought this was pretty informative stuff:
http://www.virtualweberbullet.com/brisketselect.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://www.virtualweberbullet.com/virtualbrisket.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I'm wondering if we should have a food forum on here - seems a natural combo to have great food with great beer.

Food forum I can do, and I will try and move all the existing food topics over to that forum.

Re: Good brisket resource
I get full packers in through the H&T, we basically do group orders on them. They come in a case of 6 briskets, frozen for about $3/lb, they're pretty good and usually pretty big, 12 - 18 lbs.andrewtrsmith wrote:Does anyone have a good source for briskets in town?

Oulton's in Windsor has some good bisket if you don't mind the drive. As well they sell the cheapest jerky anywhere, I think it's still only around $15.00 /lb and its good!!

It's not a grocery store though, it's a restaurant/brewpub. We drink a lot of beer there and have a good relationship with the staff, so on occasion, we have been able to get a box of briskets. I can't remember the price, I just hand over money and get meat...

Re: Good brisket resource
Cool, if you know when you're heading down, put a post in the H&T thread, might be some others interested in getting together for a brew.
I was told about another good resource for brisket, and I can't remember the name. It was liverdance's friend who mentioned it to me, you could pm him.
