New Pot
New pot, bazooka and valve.
Thin wall is harder to drill so I dremeled it out and it works.
Heats a lot faster than the keggel.
I should be brewing.

Re: New Pot
How many gallons is that Sandy? looks exciting. I forgot to put the bazooka in my BIAB pot at the weekend and it drained just fine (I drain rather than pulling the bag)

Re: New Pot
20 +/- 80l.
I don't have a bazooka in my kegel an it may not stay in this pot.
I have been pulling the bag in the keg, that may not work for this size.
Yes its almost all from Dave. Ball Valve and Bazooka I had on hand.

Re: New Pot
I used to pull 28lb grain bills, I was worried the bag might break so I had two bags and double bagged. Heavy. Some run a rope over a beam or through an overhead pully on the ceiling or on a 2x6 straddled between two step ladders.

Re: New Pot
I used a 1/8" pilot and then a step bit mine was 1/16 too small.
The 1/8 was a pain. I "marked" it with a punch and drilled for a long time. The step was a breeze and the drem was noisy but OK.

Re: New Pot
Looks good. How does the wall of the pot hold up when you move the ball valve? I may be in the market for a new pot after the summer - keggle, due to its shape and distance from burner isn't the most efficient brewing tool. Pot should be quicker to heat.

Re: New Pot
That's a big pot. I've got a 10 gallon and it looks huge, that one must be ridiculous. Mine is stainless steel but does anybody use aluminum? I've read a bit about off flavours and things of that sort but apparently people use them anyway.

I have an aluminum kettle and mash tun. Got them at cash and carry. I think they are 70l.
