Corny Kegs
Guy says he has a lot left. I am curious if anyone has dealings with him.

I think that's the guy that used to sell them for $25ish..If so, a bunch of us have purchased from him before.

Thanks Jimmy. Just found it odd he didn't want me to come see them and would rather haul them to me when I'm unsure of buying. 19l kegs are proving very hard to find... I have a keezer project that is starving for them haha.

theres a 20$ deposit on them .... i went into a local restaurant and mentioned that to the owner, asking if he would be interested in selling some for 25$ ..... he told me to come back with cash and we'd talk ... going to have to head back in there ..

You wouldn't be the first to not know that. It was pointed out to me on another forum many years ago.Steve&ORChar wrote:actually hadn't dawned on me
The kegs are the actual property of the company, not the local restaurant.
That type of theft is what spawned this org. in the UK http://www.kegwatch.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
But still it is common here to do it.
Now a homebrewer in the states has quite the collection that he bought over time but isn't willing to part with any of them yet.

Re: Corny Kegs
I bought a Sankey 60L keg off a guy on Kijiji a few months ago, posted a picture of it on reddit /r/homebrewing. Talk about a mistake. I had a few dozen people jump down my throat, telling me how it clearly belonged to a brewery, how I was a thief, how I was going to end up in jail if I ever brought it out in public. For a country that goes on at length about "freedom" and small government, they sure are a bunch of whiny bitches.

Re: Corny Kegs
That would be a little much all right.
But the situation proposed by Steve was different if you look at the letter of the law. Just saying of course... it's none of my business
if anyone gets a keg that way.. they are all designed for scrap where they get a lot less than if they sold them to us in the beginning.
