Brew pot size
Gathering all my equipment and went looking for my commercial kitchen gear, appears my 24L pot has gotten misplaced (how I lost something that big is beyond me) in one of my many moves. I do have a 12L pot but was unsure if that would be big enough. I would just be using it to start and am going to be starting with basic extract kits. Do you think this would be big enough to start off?

Not unless you are doing 1 or 2 gallon batches.

The best thing for you do to do is buy a pot that will fit what you want to grow into. although you can do a 23L batch in a 12L pot by doing a concentrated boil and then topping it up with water, It's always better to do a full boil no matter if you are doing extract or all grain. I would look into the OBK pots as I have one and it's really good quality for the price.

I picked up a 20L SS pot at crappy tire today, don't plan on using it as my main brew pot. But on sale for $20 I thought it wouldn't hurt to have an extra one on hand just incase I need it, or to make chili to eat with the beer.
I am strongly leaning towards the OBK kit with the 9 Gallon pot, and ordering it on Thursday.

I do BIAB and use a 20l to dunk sparge my grains.

I was thinking something like that. I am already thinking about BIAB after I get a few good extract brews under my belt. I am going to "test" way too many beer waiting for them to be done just because I am impatient for my first complete product.

The pot you have will be fine for extract beers working with only about 4-5 liters

Started my first Extract Brew today, sitting in primary right now and already looking forward to it. Hoping it turns out well enough to drink, even if it isn't perfect. Planning my next brew now. Really wishing I had a LHBS that actually carried more than just the Munton and coopers cans.
