Food Safe Silicone Sealant

Post by AllanMar » Tue Mar 12, 2013 2:04 pm

Anyone idea where to get some food safe silicone sealant locally? Preferably something NSF rated or at least aquarium safe. I imagine pet stores have the aquarium stuff, but IIRC its absurdly overpriced.

Looking to put a bit over the base of my element to prevent rust.

Any idea what "Safe for food plant use in Canada" means?

I have some Loctite Superflex Red High Temp RTV, from looking online the clear is NSF/FDA rated but the only thing on the Red High temp is the above statement (appears to be a Canada only product also).

EDIT: Tried Jentronics, I deal with them alot for work. $22 a tube for that stuff, seems a bit much.
