Didn't you buy some last year, too? Do they not survive year-to-year?

Nice, gotta love a mantis. I used lady bugs last summer here in Manitoba for the damn aphids I had. They worked their asses off a destroyed the aphid population.

Do you know where I can get ladybugs? My wife is petrified of mantises (manti ?) - I don't want to just hand her another excuse not to help weed the gardens.

I've got a couple flats of marigolds growing from seed at the moment, I am hoping they will help a little bit with pest control.

Here in Winnipeg I got lady bugs at a garden store. I believe you can also order them online, at least thats what some hydroponic gardeners tell me :)
