Are you stepping up to 220 from 110 with that variac? What kind of pump is that? Looks kinda small to be a march but I can't really tell. I just bought a cheap used counterflow chiller and been considering my pump options.

That is a 220v variac which lets me control the heat input to the kettle up to 5000 watts. The pump is a march pump with a bronze head. Works pretty good, although I hear Morebeer has a new head out which helps with the airlock issues.
