Low mash temp? Or temp drop during the mash?

I'm thinking I'm going to have to pull out of this experiment. With my schedule the way it's been I haven't had a chance to bottle this beer and it doesn't look like I'm going to be able to any time soon. Sorry gents.

I might be in the same boat. However I might be able to bottle Friday. It might not be carb'ed on time, but at least I should have bottles for everyone.

And we should now start talking about availability for December tasting. Are we aiming for mid-month? And I think we're aiming for a Fri or Sat event, so we can enjoy a bit more than at a Tuesday event.
Dec 7/8, 14/15 or 21/22?

Have we settled on a date for this?

Mine was bottled Monday. The holidays are closing in fast - would people be more comfortable doing the bottle swap & tasting early Jan?

i would, the holidays are busy for everyone especially those with kids. I think January is a better option and it will give the guys who have brewed and not bottle a chance to squeeze it in. FWIW I don't mind getting bottle that aren't carbed up yet as long as I know I have to wait to try them.
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

I'm fine with delay the meet up. I didn't get mine bottled yet so now I won't be in a hurry.

So what indicates the hops on the spreadsheet that are already taken? I'm thinking about seeing if I can get one brewed up in time.

I think most of us brewed with what is listed as choice 1 - I think erslar00 may have switched his though.

So is Columbus still available? If so, I'm thinking I might brew it this weekend.

Well crap. MY pale ale definitely got infected. The other two hop varieties I have plenty of on hand have been done already too.
