Grolsch

Post by mathieu » Tue Sep 25, 2012 1:13 am

First of all, hello everyone, I'm new in here but I will have a blast with passionates like you!

I'll start with a basic question. For those who use Grolsch bottles, how much do you pay (or would be willing to pay) for them?

Cheers!

Welcome to the Brewnosers.

The price we are most willing to pay .... well usually free comes to mind.

You will find that a lot of us keg, but there are still some who bottle, so you still could find a home for those puppies.

Welcome Gordon!
One of the guys just got some grolsch bottles for $4/doz on kijiji in halifax, and I paid 5 - 10 cents each for mine from the bottle depots here in the valley. Mind you, it took a while as they are usually snapped up pretty quick.

yeah the recycling depot is the most reliable source, other than buying them full at the NSLC.

Thanks guys!

People where I live sell these bottles for 0.50$/ea!

In a couple of months, I'll begin kegging! Until then, it's the bottle parade. Argh.

Most of my collection came from the fact that I drank grolsch fairly regularly. I also gathered some of the larger Fischer bottles a few years back.

I have about 5 dozen myself that are great for specialty beers without tying up keg real estate. I'm planning a Belgian strong that will likely benefit from some maturation which I plan on bottling in my swing tops. So much better than 341ml crown cap bottles, I just have to pick up a dozen or so new seals at Noble.
Kegged: El Dorado IPA, Rocketfuel 2.0, Wet Hopped Pale, Ryrish Red, Marzen, BN Exchange Dunkel, BN Exchange NEIPA, Lies Lies Lies - Citra <0.5% ale
Fermenting: NZ Pilsner with Enigma, Strawberry brett cider
