looking for a mini keg fridge what size do I need?

Post by Flatheadfever » Wed Aug 29, 2012 4:01 pm

What size and type of mini fridge will fit 2 pepsi kegs. I am just starting out and would like to have a size that I could take to the lake with me and use in the winter in the basement.
I looked on KIJIJI and I am not sure what to look for. I don't want a full size fridge at this time. Cheap is good as well.
Thanks
Lindsay

I have a Danby 4.4cu Ft one, which I bought new at Costco. Typically you want roughly that size or bigger WITHOUT freezer, unless you want to attempt bending the freezer out of the way, which would also be tough to fit 2 kegs.

I've got 2 Pepsi kegs and a 5lb CO2 inside, its crowded, but ok.

Like Allan said, I also got the 4.4 cubic foot from Costco, removed the inner door panel and replaced with lexan, and have my two ball lock kegs plus 5lb CO2 inside. Still using picnic taps at this point, but I'm happy with it.

I have a prebuilt Danby kegerator, but it's the 4 cf jobbie without a freezer or door panel and a tower on top
This is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

FYI, the one I got at Costco the door panel no longer removes so you have to cut it up. Not a big deal unless you wanted to cover it up (I used a white board on my old one, I'm probably just going to leave this one.)
