Diameter of Racking Cane

Post by GillettBreweryCnslt » Wed Aug 29, 2012 9:28 am

Hey Everyone,

So I recently set up a sight glass on my HLT using a cut off racking cane as my sight glass. Well, twice now I've had it melt off due to my lack of attention when heating water, so instead of being more careful I'm going to move to the high-temp polycarbonate from McMaster (9176T22). But I forget the outside diameter of the tube, I'm also at work and can't measure it. Anyone know off hand what the OD of that tubing is? is it 3/8" or 1/2"? Something tells me 3/8" but I'd like someone to confirm that.

Thanks

Should be 3/8". I use semi-clear tubing.
