Good Day Folks,
I just kegged my first ever batch of beer. I have a 58L Labatt sanke keg which I put it in. When I hooked up the CO2 for force carbonation I noticed that there were 2 leaks. The first was near the handle. I fixed that by tightening the screw located there. The second leak is around where the D coupler seats into the spear of the keg. It is not gushing out just fills in the hole where the coupler sits. Maybe this is normal? I suspect it is the O ring on the inside of the keg. Would I be correct in this assumption? Anyone know where I can get replacement O rings?
Thanks
Chris

Sounds like the big o-ring/seal on the sankey coupler itself

Re: Leaking Sanke Keg around the D Coupler
Thanks NASH!! Do I need a new coupler or just a new O-Ring/seal? If so where can I get one from?
On another note, I have had the CO2 hooked up for a few hours at 30psi. If I were to unhook the D Coupler for the next week while I'm away on vacation (so I don't come home to beer all over the floor) will the beer still carbonate with the CO2 already in the keg?

It will carbonate a bit, but how much it impossible to determine.
At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter.

Crisis averted!! Apparently I was missing a washer in the coupling that attached the beer line from the tower to the D coupler. I had 30 psi in the keg for the last 6 hrs. I've turned it back to 15 psi for the next week while I'm away. Hopefully when I get back I'll have nice cold carbonated beer to drink
