Ok my sazz pils has been lagering now for 2 plus weeks. Was planning on leaving for 6 or more. Have been wondering about thoughts on leaving for only 4. Experiences?

I usually lager mine for a couple of months at least, but wouldn't hesitate to drink them when they were first kegged
if I really needed to. You can get some nice clean lagers by lagering for the required time.

I've only lagered once, and that was for 3 months. Turned out ok, not as good as I hoped for lagering that long. Next time I'm cutting it down to 6 weeks.

I don't use a lagering period at all. I use cold pitching and fermentation temperatures start to finish, then it sits in my basement until I drink it.
At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter. :wtf:
