Brew Belt
Anyone use these? I've got one laying around somewhere, and plan on using it to brew a saison I have coming up. I'm wondering how much of an increase it adds to your fermentation temps, I don't want to go to high!

Re: Brew Belt
I've got one of those blue brew belts about an inch wide, and it heats up my brew around 5 - 6 degC above ambient if I leave it plugged in all the time.

Cool. Sounds like it will help, but not sure if I will be in the optimal temperature range.

Re: Brew Belt
Hogie's temp controllers will control brew belts as well, if one isn't powerful enough perhaps you could use multiple, with one (or more) providing a base temperature (leave them plugged in) and the final one being variable, plugged in to the TC.

Yeah, those temp controllers would be the optimum cheap-ass fix.

I have mine on a timer - one hour on, two hours off ... keeps temps in the 67-68 degree range in a 62 degree room.
