I thought the only way into that was through ALES?
At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the

I just sent my Old Ale. Purolator fees are probably gonna be a killer - if I had remembered earlier in the week, I probably could have saved myself $30.
I hope the judges like Brett with their Old Ale as much as I do

I sent in an American Brown, Spruce IPA, and an Oatmeal Stout. It kind of sucks they only accept entries by courier - FedEx Ground was more than the entry fee plus only gets it there a day before the deadline :S I wish I had gotten to it a little earlier in the week as well! I am glad however that I read the rules and noticed the limit of 1 entry per category. ALMOST sent in my rye from the Garrison contest which would have been 23 along with the Spruce. Did anyone else enter?

Where did it say they only accept entries by courier?
They say entries should be couriered to the address but I bet some people couriered by Canada Post
Having said that, I entered a Schwarzbier and a Porter.

Hi Jayme, the ALES club and the Bushwakker prefer courier, as it means no one has to go to the post office to pick up countless boxes. Canada Post has become notorious for not even attempting to deliver boxes anymore, just drop off the slip and run before anyone notices (I often work from home and have witnessed this on several ocassions). I think you'll also find that courier rates are often cheaper than Canada Post and get there faster.
Cheers and good luck!

I can understand that. I myself have been at home only to find a slip to pick up a parcel at the post office for a failed delivery. He didn`t even knock.

Yeah - some places they don't even try to deliver. My parent's live outside of Mahone Bay and if there's a parcel, they have to go to the post office every time. The mail driver won't take it with him. Could be a similar situation for them where they just don't want to be carrying large boxes full of beer back from the PO.

I suddenly feel blessed. I usually manage to work from home at least one day a week, and have often had the mail carrier deliver packages to the door. And I'm right out at the far end of her route (in fact, we get our mail delivered to a community mail box five km down the road, and she'll still come right out to our place with packages).
Currently on tap: Nothing!
In keg: Still nothing.
In Primary: Doggone American Rye Pale Ale

Doesn't look like any of us placed in this one.

My apologies if I missed a Brewnoser somewhere on the list.

I entered a few beers, and won a bronze in the IPA category with an American IPA, and a gold in the European Amber Lager category, with an Oktoberfest.
I also shipped via Canada Post. Whoops!

Awesome! Well done. This was my first year entering this contest - does anyone know how long it usually takes to get the judging sheet back?

Congrats on the wins. You beat me out in the Amber Lager catagory
Actually I entered the Dark Lager Catagory and not the Amber.

Thanks guys, much appreciated!
Jayme, you'll probably see your score sheets before two weeks. I entered the competition the last couple of years, and don't remember it taking any longer than that.
