Does anyone know....
Who runs the Atlantic Canada Beer Blog?
I never ascribe value to anonymous sources. This could be someone at Labatt, FFS. Or someone promoting the Foggy Goggle.
There seems to be some value here, but what's the source?
Jeff

http://atlanticcanadabeerblog.wordpress ... dian-beer/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; If you’re wondering, I am not affiliated with any company in the beer industry. The only revenue I can potentially make with this site is a few bucks off of any books purchased from a link on this site. I’m hoping within a year or so to cover the cost of a six pack.

Re: The rumor and random babble thread
His name's Greg (last name withheld to protect his identity).
He does live in NB... not sure where. Not too far from Moncton, I think.
I've given him some blog-related info / tips before (at his request... not like I'm a total expert, but I know a few things now)... We correspond from time to time - he profiled me once.
He's a good guy - no worries on corrupted views.

Uh, if Brick qualifies as a "major" brewery, then Big Rock Rock Creek cider beat them both by years.mr x wrote:

Re: The rumor and random babble thread
AFAIAC If the carbon was sequestered by the barley then fermented to produce CO2, that is not a net gain to the atmosphere. However, it took shit loads of fossilized carbon to get that barley into the field, out of the field, to the maltier, the malting itself, to the brewery, mashing, boiling, etc. so the minor amounts of CO2 in the carbonation are dwarfed by the production transport of the cereal. + that again for the hops.KMcK wrote:He hasn't supplied a zero emissions model, he supplied a zero waste model. His brewery can't be zero emissions unless he captures and sequesters all the CO2 produced during brewing and sells his beer flat.akr71 wrote:I wish him all the best. It doesn't sound so pie-in-sky & sounds like he knows its going to be a lot of work. More choice is a good thing.I can’t afford to implement the zero emissions model out of the gate so the first step is to establish a brewery that makes great beer that people want to buy. Often people forget that business sustainability is part of environmental sustainability and not in conflict
Just saying...

Just needed something to post.According to a number of industry sources, for some time now there have been rather loud rumors suggesting that a collaboration is in the offing between multinational brewer Carlsberg and soft-drink giant Pepsico for the former to bottle the latter’s brands in Greece as well as in other countries, such as Sweden.

Wait. Since when? I was in last night, granted, I didn't check to see if anything new/good was on.
Brewing right now: whatever is going on tap at Stillwell in a few weeks.

Yep. There on Thursday at lunch, but I stuck with Blackness. Dunkelbock rather than Doppelbock, but the tap handle is pretty distinct.mr x wrote:It was there yesterday afternoon.
