Ah, now I see. I only went as far as the 'virtual tour' and saw that it was just the same pictures as above and decided that it was lame. If nothing else, it would be cool to snag that New Scotland sign.

It wasn't a church. It was used to make ships back in the day

Microbrewery with a patio out with a waterfront view for summer outings... we can install some "Brewnosers parking only" signs.

Wow, those are fancy stained glass windows for a boathouse. Maybe they aren't original....bluenose wrote:It wasn't a church. It was used to make ships back in the day

I'm not paying for a patio. You can drink in the mud.

Aha! New item for our Brewnosers swag list: licence plates. (Although they might just get us pulled over more often by the 0.05 police.)erslar00 wrote:Microbrewery with a patio out with a waterfront view for summer outings... we can install some "Brewnosers parking only" signs.

OK, I've got it half worked out. I'll buy the building, live upstairs, Nash will be the brewer, and he can live in my house. Think about it people...

The RIS was a bit tart for Shelley, but, it blends really well with schwarzbier.

Re: The rumor and random babble thread
The stain glass IS from an old church... so a previous owner used the building as an art gallery and turned the back portion of the building into a little town... then the brewery folks used that area for tours and tastings... there's a sweet bar there with 6" thick lumber for the bartop and supports
X, the upstairs would be sweet for a loft apt... there's a balcony with brass rails overlooking the brew area... muwahaha
the surrounding area is a little industrial though, X is right, there's a ball field across the street
you could put an awesome courtyard between the building and out back, now we're talking
if any of you buy it be sure to tell the sellers I sent you... I want my cut

Back to the rumors, Darkside is most likely not for sale any longer.

"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

That doesn't sound like Mark and company. I like the idea of a Belgian being their main offering.
Whoever they are, they don't seem to grasp what zero emissions means or that you can't have beer without CO2 emissions (unless you use nitrogen or like flat beer). Their diagram looks more like zero waste.
