Clarity Ferm 1 vial per 5-7Gals BS

I don't know if this subject has been discussed before but, I was intrigued by the information on the White labs site that stated the dosage for Gluten reduction is 12ml per BBL.
I contacted white labs and posed the question was there any difference in the contents of the 10ml Vial compared to that supplied in a 1 Litre container (that was to be used at this dosage).

The answer was that the contents and the concentration is the same. So a 10ml vial should be good for .833 of a BBL. So no need to add 2 vials to a 10G batch or even a 20G batch. They don't specify for smaller batches but the maths would say you only need around 4ml for a 10G batch.

I got a quote from White Labs for a Litre and its $46 USD ($60CAD) + shipping.

We can order it special from our well known LBS for $100L and it is supposed to be a years shelf life I believe if kept refrigerated.

Thats enough to do 83 1BBL batches.
I am now adding a 10ml vial to every brew because my wife is coeliac and its easier than making special beers just for her.

I still have 6 vials left but would be happy to buy a liter and split the cost with a number of fellow brewers. Anyone interested?

One of the members was selling it by the pound on the classified sections a while back. he bought 55lb I believe. Previous to that someone on kijiji was selling a nearly full 55lb container, not sure if was one and the same.

I have been using baby oxyclean(basically unscented) from walmart. But might be interested if it works out cheap enough.

Perhaps I should quote this thread etc under the group buy and classified threads. No sure if there is any issue with double posting.

PBW from NG is $250 - 10% brewnosers discount +hst. So $258.75 or $5.17 a lb.
I would be willing to do 10lb so need buyers for the other 40lb.

Sorry Gam, I missed your post. If you are doing the splitting and bagging individual 1lbs then I can understand a markup. Maybe if you did a better deal for 10Lbs I might be tempted.
I should have bought the tub on Kijiji, that was a steal but at the time I wasn't using that much.

What about Star San? is that available by the gallon I wonder?

Hey Sandy would you be willing to do 10lbs for $55? It seems both Jim and I would like 10lbs each. Completely understandable if you don’t want to sell that much (20lbs total) etc. Just let me know and if not maybe we can arrange a group buy between a few guys.

The 1Litre container of Clarityfirm arrived at Noble Grape Burnside today. Unfortunately I was in Dartmouth today and didn't get the message until I got home. I generally only get in once a week at most
I can pick it up next time I am in, maybe next week.
I will look for some 250ml bottles in the meantime..... Unless anyone is in a hurry and wants to collect/pay for it and arrange the split in the meantime.

Picked it up today and 4 x 300ml travel bottles from a dollar store.
Total cost inc brewnosers discount = $94.60
So $23.65 each for 250ml.
I am out on the Eastern shore but get into Dartmouth maybe once a week. Was in today so not again this week.
I plan to split into the four small bottles unless any/all of you prefer to split at the meet.
Let me know your thoughts.
Enough to treat 125 Corny kegs full at 12ml/bbl. Thats 19c per 5G. Sweet.
