Hoptoberfest Spreadsheet - Post Your Items Here
A spreadsheet to post what you are bringing to Hoptoberfest. I left it blank and it should be writable by all.

Re: Hoptoberfest Spreadsheet - Post Your Items Here
k, I have started a preliminary list. Ice will be a high priority. The local Burger King, McDonalds had no problems filling up coolers with ice for our block party. I suggest somebody in the group arrange to get 2-3 coolers full of ice. I won't be able to do this myself, as I will be coming to the party straight from work.

Oh, I think it'll be a few more than just us.
As a side note, I unfortunately don't think I'll have my serving box will be ready. What has Kyle got for tables?

Robert, can you post a list of what we need, based on last year? Then people can offer to fills those needs. The ice is a good example. I have coolers, but we need someone to get the ice.

Re: Hoptoberfest Spreadsheet - Post Your Items Here
Think about what we will have for food. I plan to bring cooked brisket, buns, and some coleslaw, so that will make good sandwiches. And it should feed quite a few people. We had sausages last year, and Greg brought smoked cheese and Shelly bought a sub tray. Plus there was lots of cheese, sauerkraut, and other odds and ends (crackers, dips, spreads, guac, etc.). Plus a cake or two IIRC. I don't know if that level of food is required, but we will probably need plates, utensils, etc.
I can bring over the glasses Bruce left me from last year.
Tables to put this stuff on are a high priority. It looks like I won't have my serving box ready unfortunately. But I do have towers for serving. Think about what you have for a beer serving area. You don't want to be frigging around with this after people arrive.

I'm assuming that by tables... you mean outdoor tables.
How many do you need?

Well, I do have one small table that I might be able to bring down, but we should have some area where we can set food, empty bottles etc. There isn't really a number, other than enough - I've never been to Kyle's, but even in my house, you can run out of room fast..

Re: Hoptoberfest Spreadsheet - Post Your Items Here
I have two outdoor tables and a camping table. I can round up a few more from family and neighbours. I have two tables in the basement that will require some help dragging out, so hopefully someone will be here early enough to help with that. The house isn't big inside, but I'll do my best to clear off tables and counter space. As I said in my initial offer to host, it can't be an indoor party if there are as many people as last year, but we can set up food inside and people can come in in and out as required. As the evening wears on and attrition whittles down the numbers we can move indoors.

I'll have to double-check... but I should have access to a reasonably large supply (which is why I asked how many would be needed) of 4'X8' plywood banquet tables (fold-down legs).
Just let me know if you want me to bring some.

OK, I will be able to bring a small table that will have two towers and 5 taps. They will all be ball lock (although that can be changed out if necessary). I will have liquid lines for all, plus a gas manifold and a few gas in fittings.
Coolers and ice are required. I will be able to bring one cooler that can hold at least two, maybe 3 kegs.

Re: Hoptoberfest Spreadsheet - Post Your Items Here
One thing we haven't covered is guests. I think at my original hosting I thought bringing one guest per person was an acceptable policy (guests being complete strangers). Although that was a pretty loose policy for me. If you knew halfways wise people who wanted to attend a beer event, the more the merrier - I prefer a more inclusive environment. And it didn't make sense to exclude people on a statistical basis AFAIAC.

Re: Hoptoberfest Spreadsheet - Post Your Items Here
Guests is one point I have to be cautionary about. My place is small and just can't handle a crowd indoors. Bringing friends who will be susceptible to good beer and our club is a priority over significant others who don't care for beer and just want to be social. I wouldn't turn away the latter; I just can't promise the sort of house party we had at X's last year.

I have a white plastic outdoor table and if I can find it in the garage, a small marquee. I also have loads of plastic cutlery and probably some plates and other party things. K, let me know. I will ask the hubby about the fire pit if you are interested.

Yes, plastic plates and cutlery are definitely needed. An extra table can't hurt. The fire pit thing is an excellent idea too, especially if we want to stay out late. I have plenty of Earl wood to burn, although it may still be too green.

If you have plates and cutlery suitable for outdoors, please bring them.
We still need someone to arrange for and pick up the ice, as suggested by Robert. I can supply two coolers for the job, but maybe we want more than that.
