They had hippies in the 60s and 70s. That great picture reminded me.

Perhaps we should bring back Hippies. Peace, free love and craft beer. Also might work now they are talking about legalizing pot.

What border would that be?

I just saw this one and Derek's one saying he understood the humour. Thanks!

Sandy's one is a brain tease, and I'm racking my brains. It's a lateral thinking exercise, just casually thrown out there to tip us borderline insane people over the edge. There must be an answer!! ...There must!!!

So I'm throwing in the towel. Sandy, master of abstract thought and quick wit. Is there an answer to the question "What border would that be?" ?

:cheers2:

I have written to the Ladies Beer League. I am hoping they will tell me about their work, organisation, objectives and future plans etc. I will write up something and pass it by them before posting.

The beer ladies never got back to me. That’s absolutely fine, and I respect that. They have a common interest and that's good enough. If the time comes for a collaboration event, maybe a mega craft beer festival or something, I’m fairly sure Jeff Pinhey would agree to coordinate the two groups (Ladies Beer League and Brewnosers).

Thanks Sandy.

Pam, from the Ladies beer league got back to me yesterday. Thanks Pam!

I wanted to know more about their activities as I was looking for ideas. I started a new thread here about Brewnosers supporting local beer, looking for ideas about what we might do as a group: http://www.brewnosers.org/forums/viewto ... =10&t=9107" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

First my message to the Ladies Beer League:

Mark Pennell

Hello, I wanted to write something on the Brewnosers Homebrewing Forum about the Ladies Beer League if that would be ok. Your web site is down at the moment, but I wanted to get in touch directly any way.

I think you are influencing local craft beer in a positive way. Would you agree? Is that one of the main intentions of the group, or a secondary effect? What craft beer related things have you been involved in, are there plans for the future?

Thanks and kind regards.

Mark Pennell

Pam's reply,
Hi mark!
We hope we're a positive influence on the local craft beer scene! We aim to provide a friendly and supportive environment for our members to grow their craft beer knowledge, support local business, and develop social connections. We are an incorporated non-profit society, with a mandate to support local women's charities whenever possible.
We just brewed a collab with Boxing Rock and big spruce! An Imperial Brown Ale aged on cherries and rum soaked vanilla beans. It is set to be bottled around the 8th of Dec.
Our next event is our annual Xmas brunch at Stillwell Dec 6th. We will be previewing our collab in cask at the event. Let me know if you need any more info!
