West Coast IPA, my first keg, malty, hoppy, tried a SMASH with simcoe,
That I made 4 weeks ago, really nice, dark and hoppy,
Also in a keg, not fully carbonated yet.

Craft beer Sapporo, "Beer Inn" - 900¥ table charge but taps/bottles 800-1200¥. Got Haand brewery from Norway, Fyr&Flamme IPA. Very aromatic, fruity with mild bitterness. Just super crazy intense lychee dominates flavour and aroma

Wow, huge amount of bottles!

Was passing through Tatamagouche today so stopped in and grabbed a few beers. Pretty happy with their ISA.

"Robert The Spruce" from the Yellowbelly here in St. John's. A restrained hand with the spruce tips. Lovely summer ale.

At the brewery on Water Street. I don't know if it will make it to the NLC stores or not.

My son and I just returned from YellowBelly Brewery. It is a beautiful warm night and we are now enjoying our "Robert the Spruce" spruce tip ale. ABV is 5.5 % and as stated earlier it is light on spruce but very nice. We only bought two 1 litre bottles tonight We split a bottle tonight and will be going for some more Friday. :cheers3:
Take care, Bluefin.

Enjoying this tasty IPA, big bold hoppy body with the malt backbone to carry the weight.

Thanks Dave for this beauty.

darciandjenn wrote:We just poured out a whole growler of Railcar Brewing's Session IPA after choking down their Celtic Red... has anyone else tried their beers? I'm hoping this isn't representative of all of their products. The SIPA tasted like old yeast, no body and the colour was really weird - straw yellow and hazy. Pretty disappointing, since my wife's family is from the area and we were looking forward to trying it out.
I've tried a couple of them, and sadly your experience with them was pretty close to mine. I've been trying to think of where they might be going wrong, but honestly, with so many varied flaws, I'm kind of unsure where to start. Oversparging, mash temp, hop use, fermentation? Maybe a bit of each?

Maybe you and the wife need to stop in and drop some knowledge on them!

Just tried my Rhubarb Saison and it turned out great, it's a pretty basic saison with a nice sour finish, and the alcohol level is pretty well hidden
Kegged:
Bottled: Chocolate Orange Stout, Barkshack Sparkling Ginger Mead, Cherry Berliner
Fermenting: Fruit (havent decided yet) Lambic
Considering: Imperial Chocolate Raspberry Stout, Fir Tip Ale

Glad to hear it worked out. Tried a flight at Upstreet and walked out with a liter of the main 3. Just finished off a growler of 4 alarm IPA and now headed to the tide and bore gastro pub. Hoping for some great beer and food.

Enjoying a Goose Island Sophie to wash away the pain of my Keezer dying last night. I have my old keg fridge back in the house now and all is good, but I'm down a tap and a fermentation chamber for now.
Nova Prime Taproom
Tap 1: Festa Brew Scotch Ale
Tap 2:
"Fill with mingled cream and amber,
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chamber of my brain -
Quaintest thoughts - queerist fancies
Come to life and fade away;
What care I how time advances?
I am drinking ale today." ~ Poe

Tried Keith's latest IPA, pretty damn tasty beer, like the hop aroma and flavor. Still think I like Funktown better though

Tasty IPA from Abita, heavy on the dank bitterness.
