Re: What's everyone drinking tonight?
Having the garrison imperial chocolate stout. Not much roast, which I like and some esters from I'm assuming English yeast. I think I would call it an imperia porter. Nice beer. At 10% I'm half a glass in and feeling it. Edit: as it's warming up I'm getting some chocolate flavour.

I'm with you. I got a couple for for free tonight and I'm glad I didn't buy 6. Just getting a bitter taste from it.evanisnor wrote:Bought a six pack of Garrison's In Session IPA and I'm pissed that I have 5 bottles left. It's like they added the bittering charge and ran out of hops. I've noticed that their dry hop aroma has been infuriatingly insufficient in most of their beers. Hopefully they nut up and buy more hops in the future.

Sandy gave me this at the advent exchange. He found it somewhere in the States. It has a similar name to one of my beers. It's good. Interesting. Has bramling cross and I'm really picking up the blackcurrant. Perfect hop for this style I'd say.
Cheers Sandy

I'm still brewing. DIPA is boiling away. Should be wrapping the 3rd batch up around 9.

Had some Garrison stuff today - the cranberry hibiscus wit and the In Session. The wit was lovely - the cranberry added a very nice tartness. I wasn't thrilled with the ISA at first, but as I got further down the glass and it warmed up a bit, I found that I quite liked it.

Having a very delicious pint of Russell Brewing Company Punch Bowl IPA at Brickworks in Whistler. Nice balanced bitterness and lovely assortment of tropical fruity flavours.

Re: What's everyone drinking tonight?
Last night I had these beers:
-My (1st ever batch!) Homebrew Piccadilly Porter - Was good but needed more time to condition in the bottle. I guess I'm just excited!
-Hell Bay English Ale - One of my all time faves. I gave a 5/5 Untappd rating
-Weihenstephaner Hefe - This was very good. Was pleasantly surprised by the very vibrant flavours! Rated 4/5

It might not be fancy. But I am very much enjoying a case of Rickards white tonight. I am not much on adding fruit or anything to beer.....but I have never wanted orange or citrus of some sort so bad.
