Wow, that looks awesome, but you'd need a big fermentation chamber to put it in. If I had the space I'd get it.

Honestly they don't seem too much bigger. If you have a full size fridge as a fee chamber,it would definitely fit. I think.

I have 7 of these lovely things, made in Italy, the green kind. Beautifuly vessels for spirit (since you don't have to clean them) and very nice to look at. Using them for beer, however, cleaning becomes an issue. The neck and bottom are about 1/4" thick and the top is deceptively thick at 3/8", the sides, however, about 1/16", judging by the cut in my arm.
26 stitches, about 3 pints of blood on the floor, a lovely ambulance ride and 4 hours in the hospital to be put me back together, NOT trying to dissuade anyone, but be extremely careful when cleaning these. The other six that I own all have become very lovely decorations.

Don't get me wrong, I love glass. Dropped a 5 g carboy a few years ago and all it did was bounce, still using it today along with the other 11. The 54's, however, watch out, just bumped the neck and blood everywhere. Perhaps just my clumsy self.
I switches all primaries to plastic and secondary to glass, still looking for affordable stainless.

they might be more difficult to clean than regular carboys too, the blue whippy thing might not reach the sides very easily
