Selling all my gear! FOR SALE!

Post by NScooknet » Wed Feb 18, 2015 1:19 pm

I'm getting out of brewing :( well, at least temporarily due to illness. Trying to recover from cancer last year, and unfortunately beer is not allowed anymore in my diet, so I'm selling all of my equipment at a very cheap cost, much less than I paid for it all.

First $225.00 takes everything!

Pretty much everything is here for someone wanting to begin brewing, or to expand your setup.
Included are as shown in the pictures and listed below:

2- plastic fermenters
2- glass carboys
1- brew pot (canning pot)
1- home made wort chiller
3- brew belts for temp control (basically brand new, used once, retail $25.99 each)
1- large glass pyrex beaker 6000ml (great for yeast cultures or making small batches in)
1- wine filter (never used that one, not sure if it works, but I'm throwing it in for free!)
9 -1/2- dozen (nine and one half dozen, a few bottles ended up at friends houses :) ) glass 650ml beer bottles (only used for about 6 batches maybe, and probably a couple boxes never used. $15.99 retail for each box of 12)
1- bottle capper
1- bottle washer
2- racking wands
1- bottling bucket
1- bag of yeasts, hops, and other brewing stuff
1- mesh bag for hops
1- bottle partially used iodophor
1- bucket of odds and ends, airlocks, caps, ect.......

Pretty much everything in the pictures is included. Everything is clean and well cared for and ready to use for brewing.

I live in Greenwood/Kingston in the Annapolis valley, I cannot deliver, pick up only from my house.

PM me to arrange a viewing and or sale.
Thanks!
Chris :)

How much do you want for the wine filter and pump?

Sorry, I need to sell this all in one lot, and for cash, no trades.
Thanks
Chris :)

Chris, like Sandy, I'm sorry to hear about your illness. Let me know If I can help at all. PM if you need any advice on the health system and resources, and if I don't know I'll research. Probably won't be able to help, but you never know. I'm in the valley too.

You're very welcome.

When I sold my kegs and spare brew pot and CO2 tank with reg, I got a good response from kijiji. Brewing stuff goes quickly on there. I sold some stuff on here too.

:cheers2:

I don't think so, but I don't know honestly. Brewing is an expensive hobby. Hold your horses and wait and see. I had a thought that most people are already set up on here and maybe just need this and that, but on Kijiji someone is may be more likely to be about to plunge in to the brewing obsession and not have anything. You have kind of a start up kit like they advertise online and at Noble Grape, everything you need for a bargain price.

Here's OBK's lineup for beginner kits: http://www.ontariobeerkegs.com/Homebrew ... _s/185.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; You could buy one of those and still need a lot more stuff.

ps. Checking out your posts ....http://www.brewnosers.org/forums/viewto ... 070#p12070" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

There's a story there that needs telling, least I'd like to hear it. I wasn't on the site back then.

About the micro brew gear, I'm guessing.

Yes, was interested in the microbrewery story, but maybe it's not a story to be told.

Also sorry to hear about your illness. If I could pry, is the alcohol in beer the issue, or something else? I ask because there was a bit of movement previously to try some no- and low-alcohol brewing, and I like the idea of looking into it further.

Ps. If someone jumps on this quickly, I'll be in Wolfville tomorrow for work, so might be able to drive the extra time to pick it up.

Well, not much story actually...lol.

I've just always wanted to start my own microbrewery, and something in life has always made that not possibly.

Usually illness.

Sometimes life just pulls you in a direction you hadn't planned on, just gotta go with the flow, do the best you can, and pray lots :)

NScooknet, I'd love to buy your gear from you. I really would. But my wife controls all the income, I can barely brew as it is. If I had the money, this post would be long over. I'd love to help but I just don't have the cash.
Sorry I couldn't help and I hope all works out in the end.

Sorry to hear about your situation. I'd be happy to take your stuff off your hands but sadly I'm on pei. if there were someone that could transport it here then maybe we could figure something out.
