New Brewnoser in Fredericton
Hello,
I stumble upon this site and had no idea that it existed. I think this is a great idea and forum for conversation and tips on beer. I am in Fredericton and have been here for the last 4 years. I enjoy trying out different types of beers and especially enjoy our local brew Picaroons ( I mean where else can you get 12 days of speciality brews). Anyway I just wanted to introduce myself!
Cheers!

Re: New Brewnoser in Fredericton
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter.

Welcome aboard! There are a few other members on here from Freddy Beach, they can usually be found at KSAH, though 540 is now carrying more craft beers.
Also look out for Grimross and TrailWay in your 'hood, Belgian and American-style brews, respectively, different than Pic's English focus.
