Really digging Bruce's Celtic Knot Caledonia. Nothing thawed in the fridge, so Wife gave me a free pass to hit Ducky's for a pint and a bite. Love my woman.

Re: What's everyone drinking tonight?
Dean what style is that beer?
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

Nova Prime Taproom
Tap 1: Festa Brew Scotch Ale
Tap 2:
"Fill with mingled cream and amber,
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chamber of my brain -
Quaintest thoughts - queerist fancies
Come to life and fade away;
What care I how time advances?
I am drinking ale today." ~ Poe

No fun on losing a loved one, can't imagine losing my mom. Not looking forward to that day. How's that beer Shane? Hope it's distracting your mind enough to enjoy it.

Re: What's everyone drinking tonight?
The beer is fucking fantastic, and it's only getting better. It's the first one that I've had since my bday in June and it just keeps improving. For me, it's definitely the best beer I've ever had.Keith wrote:No fun on losing a loved one, can't imagine losing my mom. Not looking forward to that day. How's that beer Shane? Re: What's everyone drinking tonight?
Boxing Rock The Darkness and U-889; grabbed a couple of each at Bishop's Cellar on Friday afternoon.
The Darkness is a very nicely balanced beer with a malt sweetness that goes great with the hoppy character. Really impressed with it.
The U-889 is a huge disappointment right now. I love coffee, but that's all I can taste. No malt, no vanilla, just coffee. Last year's version was a touch sweet for my liking, but I still enjoyed it very much. This year's is a coffee bomb. Even letting it warm up isn't helping much. Going to throw the second bottle into the cellar and hope it improves in a couple of months.

Re: What's everyone drinking tonight?
My brewing buddies went to VT to hit the slopes this past weekend. Went on a massive can hunt to bring this charming silver bullet back for me along with 5 other local brews. Popping my HT cherry, Awesome Christmas surprise!
