Wanted grain mill
I am looking for used cheapish grain mill . i want to be able to stock grains at home so I can brew when I want without having to wait 2-3 days to get the grains in the mail . Anyone in the Moncton area or in that area would be great . Thanks

Re: Wanted grain mill
Do you want a decent roller mill or a Corona type grinder? If you are in it for the long haul, I would recommend a roller mill of any kind over the Corona mill, although I made decent beer with one.

I doubt you are going to find a good mill cheap. They hold value pretty well.
At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter.

OBKrusher on sale right now: http://www.ontariobeerkegs.com/OBKrushe ... rusher.htm.
Maybe not as cheap as you would like, but still a great investment.

I have the one that Dave sells (it is currently out of stock) and it is the same as the OBK one. No complaints about it. Works great and easy to adjust. Can't go wrong with it.Houblon34 wrote:OBKrusher on sale right now: http://www.ontariobeerkegs.com/OBKrushe ... rusher.htm.

I also have this mill and am quite happy with it. And so did Dave himself: if I'm not mistaken, one of these mills is what Dave put pretty much every kit he sold for his first year of business through. I wouldn't hesitate to suggest that's at least a couple thousand pounds of grain. If you're brewing a couple of times a month it should be plenty to see you through the next few years at least, making it a pretty sound investment of $115 or so.Celiacbrew wrote:I have the one that Dave sells (it is currently out of stock) and it is the same as the OBK one. If you brew a tonne or plan to, or expect to be milling for a bunch of people or maybe if you plan to adjust your crush for every batch then maybe you'd want something a little fancier.
