I will also bring some cheese. Not smoked cheese, though.

Is it alright if I bring a friend along? He is a big beer lover and generously donating me a place to crash Saturday night.
Of course, the more the merrier!
As for the pies. I think 2 is more fine. It's not like this is a big sit down dinner, beer should be the main course. In fact I think its gone way overboard to the point where almost everyone is bringing enough food to feed a small army. If every person brings $10-$40 worth of food I wanna see who's going to eat it all!

no mini cibata buns at costco halifax, there was regular large one and demi chibata which was more like bread. do you want me to pick up either of these?mr x wrote:If anybody is looking for something food wise to bring, a bag of mini ciabatta type buns would probably come in handy.
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

One double size bun and one knife equals two small size buns.

Okay, Mark the manager may not be there until about 10:30 but you can get in even if he's not there. When you get there you'll have to run inside the mall to find a security guard to let you in, tell them you are there for ice from H&T, they have been alerted. When you get to the pub if the main door isn't open there is a side kitchen door just inside the side entrance to the mall/food court facing the ferry terminal, knock and let them know you are there for ice, they have been alerted also.KMcK wrote:Excellent. I've done my best to make this kid friendly (no strippers, etc., lol) for all those whose lives will be much easier if they take them along. So no worries there. The address in on the main hoptoberfest webpage.erslar00 wrote:Is anyone bringing kids?

Repeating my question about anyone heading back to the Dark Side post event tomorrow night. Wondering if I'll need to plan a cab or bus route.
And X, did you have a specific plan for the corn?

I think we'll put it on the kamado fully husked. Turns out really well at 325 for 25-30 minutes. Maybe make a nice butter if I get the time, lime-curry rocks.

Nah, I didn't plan on going because I wasn't expecting to be home today. I was supposed to be hauling a friends car to the Greenfield drag strip but he's not going now due to the weather

nonononooo, there's already too much food and beer. I specifically plan for people to show up without either, otherwise, it will be insane. Besides, running the forum is more than enough.
