Re: we hit a new high today
Weird, my name isn't on the list but I was definatley here.
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

It's because you have the option to hide your online status selected.. That's why I'm not on there too.LiverDance wrote:Weird, my name isn't on the list but I was definatley here.

Gotcha, I'll go back to creeping around now.

Disabling that feature just ensures you don't get messages regarding important stuff. I don't have time to maintain a 250+ e-mail list.

Listserv is dead. I have no intention of using it or supporting it for any function ever again. Maintaining it only exacerbates communication problems.

Re: we hit a new high today
I understand if some people don't like the idea of using the forums...but at the same time they shouldn't be upset if they miss something because of their desire to use the listserv as their method of communication. That listserv was a headache when I was at work, my blackberry was constantly pinging with email notificationsmr x wrote:Listserv is dead. It's worse than that. Messages don't show up, or show up out of sync, or better yet, days later. You would be better off going back to smoke signals.

Looks like I might have logged in at the wrong time yesterday, or that total would have been higher.
Or perhaps I didn't log in and just visited the site to see what if any interesting posts were made.

Re: we hit a new high today
No, it really doesn't. "Important stuff" that goes to "PM" mostly doesn't get noticed [by me] for at least a couple of days, more likely a week. Email gets noticed in seconds.mr x wrote:Disabling that feature just ensures you don't get messages regarding important stuff. I don't have time to maintain a 250+ e-mail list.
Currently on tap: Nothing!

Re: we hit a new high today
You just need to enable e-mail notification of PMs. Then you can notice the e-mail about the important pm within seconds.
