I don't think we should ever delete accounts with any 'sensible' posts. Even 1.
At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter. :wtf:

What happens to one's postings if an active account is deleted? Do they get deleted too or remain?
Jimmy, are you there?

No option to self delete..don't really feel it's necessary. If we are pruning inactive accounts, these people will be removed in that process (which is pretty easy, all I do is set the deletion criteria).

As for the posts made by deleted accounts..there is an option to retain posts, or delete them. Whenever I delete a spammer I set it to delete posts, but if it came down to deleting a previously active user on the forums, I would retain their posts.

I recognize a coupe of those names as old timers in the club. One I know signed up with no intention of posting, but occasionally logs in to find out where the next meeting is. I guess we'll have to reply more in the listserv for announcing meetings.

Well, if that's the case, they haven't logged in since Dec 1, 2011..

Exactly. If they haven't bothered to log in for 6 months, meetings aren't much of a concern....

I was in New Glasgow... a cold, dark and lonely place

That's not the point. If that person was there, they didn't find out about it by logging in to this site. And quite obviously didn't need to. So if the account isn't being used for great lengths of time, it is being removed.

I'm actually more concerned with dead posts... mostly ones in the classifieds sections for stuff that has been dealt with long ago
