But anyway we could clear some out? Or tell me how to display my screen so they are hidden during editing? Because it's a pain to have the entire right third of the screen taken up, and then have to scroll to get to the "Submit" button.
Hmm, maybe I just answered my own question: Adblock them. Not doable on iPhone safari, I don't think.

Feel free to post any smilies you want in this thread, and I can add them to the forum.

And Chris, I can reduce the # of smilies that show up by default on the post page. I think I will reorganize them today so the most used show up first, then you have to click "show all" to see everything.

There. The smilies to the right have been shortened down to about the size of the posting window. Now you have to click "View more smilies" to see em all.

Sheesh, do you spend your evenings glued to the forums? No wonder they're so sticky.

Yeah, I've been meaning to ask if we could get the CSS fixed for this page. The text area has a grabbable corner which is intended to let you resize it, but the styles fix the width, so that you can't really use it. I use "Stylish" to try to override it, but it seems to work only randomly. A hideable section for the emoticons would be nice.

Is there any way to get the 'more smilies' button at the top of the small selection?
At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter. :wtf:

Not without editing the code, which I'd rather not have to do.

It's looking much better with the new smilies layout once I turned off my own Stylish CSS :-)

How do you feel about changing CSS, Jimmy? If I can figure out how to move the "view more smilies" to the top via CSS, do you mind changing that, or is it just as much bother as modifying the PHP? (I completely understand the attraction of not changing stock code if you can avoid it).

It's just the matter of changing the code and having it affect future software updates for the forums.

Sure, but with CSS you can often do that with out changing any of the system files. It depends whether there's some control panel on which you can just add stylesheets.
