Hopped Cider

Post by mjdoyle » Sat Feb 08, 2014 1:57 pm

I just put on a batch of Apple cider that I am dry hopping with cascade hops. I also added a kilo of dextrose to bring it up to about 6%. Just wondering if anyone here has tried to make a hopped cider, if so any advice.

I did a sample with citra and it did not complement my cider. Although mine is quite tart, it made it taste sour, they didn't go well together. It's the only kind I tried. If recommend doing small bottle size samples.

Hmm. That doesn't sound good. I am hoping the floral notes of the cascade compliment it. 23 litres has 2 oz of hops in it so too late for small batch. Did you just dry hop?
