Sake - Rice wine

Has anyone ever tried making rice "wine" - like sake, or Makgeolli (Korean) or ruou (Vietnamese)? I'd like to try, but sourcing ingredients seems challenging.

Might be able to steer you in the right direction or let you get your hands on some of the mold+yeast necessary.
